The Intent
What it set out to prove
A test of the crop. In a feed, a piece has a fraction of a second to register – so we shot it closer than any catalogue would allow, until the object stopped being jewellery and became pure form.
The Approach
How it was built
Macro on a white acrylic ground with a shallow water film, so the chain sits in its own reflection. High key, near-shadowless, with just enough directional light to keep the edges of each link separate. Framed to break the object at both edges – nothing in shot explains what it is.
